Lathrop House at 627 Hamilton Street, Redwood City, California.

This house is beautiful Gothic steamboat architecture with an extremely interesting history. It has been moved several times and is yet moving again across the street closer to the San Mateo History Museum and perhaps a better location for the house. Thanks to long ago owner Sheriff Mansfield the house was purchased and rescued from being burned down. It was cut in half and moved by one horse to its current location . Helen is a wonderful docent who loves the house and the history and is very warm and welcoming! For those who leave a one star review you are people who can't appreciate the history or the architecture!
