In the middle of the night last night, my very old dog went into distress. It was very upsetting. I thought he might be having a seizure or heart attack. I recalled that Sage had moved into RWC and quickly grabbed my dog and drove over there . I had the wonderful opportunity to see Dr Zachary Wilcox, the attending vet. He was kind, calm and reassuring and very knowledgeable. He has a wonderful style. He downplayed the episode and was thought it might just be pain and nothing more serious.. He told me I could take my dog home that night. It's not clear what happened or if he did have a stroke and could have another, but Dr Wilcox was so positive and didn't assume the worst, nor want to do a million procedures. (I have had too many negative experiences with vets who want to run every single test imaginable and then the dog doesn't make it anyway). He was the opposite. Also, Amber, a staff professional, was so kind and helpful.
